Tomorrow's Researchers Come Together
Last September, 300 young French and German students met in
Strasbourg for a three-day conference within the framework of the Franco-German Youth, Science, and Innovation Forum. The event, held in Munich last year, is an initiative of the Franco-German Youth Office (Office Franco-Allemand pour la Jeunesse, OFAJ) in partnership with CNRS, France's “Association des Petits Débrouillards” and Germany's “Rasselbande” and “Kleine Findige” associations. It provides an ideal opportunity for youths and researchers to discuss current scientific issues. German and French scientists held workshops and round tables on biodiversity, new information and communication technologies, and human transformation. The participants presented a synopsis of the discussions to the European Parliament. This was a great opportunity to foster an exchange of ideas among young Europeans on subjects related to science, citizenship, and society.
