Aimed at both the national and international scientific community, the new CNRS website
is a unique portal that seeks to encourage and support researchers who wish to apply for an ERC grant. It features interviews with CNRS grantees, who touch on various aspects of their experience: scientific freedom, financing, interdisciplinarity, discoveries, team work or career advancement. Resources, including the contact details of scientific experts and administrative support staff, are also available.
The ERC grants are awarded for a period of five years and range between €1.5 and €3.5 million per researcher. They seek to enhance the dynamism and creativeness of European research, at the forefront of knowledge, with scientific excellence as sole selection criteria.
