NuPNET Takes Off
The recent launch of NuPNET is good news for nuclear physics. Initiated by In2P3/CNRS, NuPNET is an ERA-NET, a facility provided for by the FP7.1
It brings together 18 partners from 14 EU countries. Its mission is to coordinate the various national funding agencies to better organize the financing for nuclear physics infrastructures at the European level. This is the first ERA-NET in the FP7 to be coordinated by CNRS. This 3-year project (2008-2011) will be financed by the European Commission to the tune of €1.3 million.
